Rolvenden Parish Council has submitted the Rolvenden Neighbourhood Development Plan 2016 - 2031 to Ashford Borough Council and the Council is now seeking the local communities’ views on the proposals.
To take part in the consultation visit www.ashford.gov.uk/consultations where you can find out further details and information on how to express your views.
Comments on the Rolvenden Neighbourhood Plan Submission Document can be made via the website or by completing and returning a hard copy representation form (which are available from the locations below, or upon request).
Comments must be received by 5pm on the 24th June 2019.
Neighbourhood planning was introduced through the Localism Act 2011, and enables local communities to shape development and growth in their area through the production of a neighbourhood development plan, a neighbourhood development order or a community right to build order.
A Neighbourhood Plan covers a geographic area and can be taken forward by town and parish councils or “neighbourhood forums”. A Neighbourhood Plan, if approved, becomes part of the statutory development plan for that area and will be used in determining planning applications.
The Rolvenden Neighbourhood Development Plan Submission Document will be available to view between 9am Friday the 10th May until Monday the 24th June at 5 pm online or at the locations below:
